JAVA developer

Main Duties

Software development and configuration of components for connectivity to futures execution venues.

• Unit testing and support of integration and F2B testing.
• Performance testing and tuning.
• Assessing and recommending exchange and vendor technology connectivity choices.
• 3rd line support.

Experience Required Professional Java development experience. Strongly prefer Core Java, not necessarily J2EE or GUI/Web experience. Professional experience working in a Unix/Linux environment. Multi-threaded programming experience. Experience of developing Java software for low latency, high throughput systems.

 

Nice to have

• Prior experience in futures markets.
• Exchange APIs, protocols and technologies.
• FIX protocol.
• Experience of high-volume mission critical trading systems.
• Tibco RV or Solace
• Experience of TCP/IP sockets.
